Do you guys know how they keep them from deflating while on exhibit?
Well, the balloons are probably filled with helium, which can keep the balloons inflated for upto 3-4 days. I’m guessing his exhibitions only last a few days since its hard to keep the balloons inflated for weeks and months. Also, when the knots are made to the balloon, to give it form, the helium stays in longer and keeps it from deflating. Hope that helped.
Saw these a few years back at The Brewery art walk in LA- they slowly deflate over the course of the display, so the sculptures are constantly changing, in the end they’re a little sad though. Kind of like when your pumpkin deflates and gets all nasty.
